Gross Things About Winter

1.) Runny Noses.

2.) Feeling the snot in your nose ice up as you walk outside into the wind.

Things I Don't Understand Part II

In my job I speak with people on the phone all day long and they provide me with such personal information as addresses and names among other things. Being somewhat of a grammar-snob I am highly offended by the words and names people spell out for me on a daily basis. I should point out these people are not customers, but associates who work for my company and they assume I need them to spell these things out - knowing I have a college degree.

So here is a list of a few words which have been spelled for me (while I am inwardly screaming at the assumption of my lack of intelligence.)

The list goes on much longer than this and I only kept it for 3 days.

What I truly don't understand though, is that consistently these people will spell out the simplest words and assume I know how to spell the more difficult words such as Voorhees or Algonquin.

...yeah, I'm an Ohio gal.

OH - IO!!!!!!!

I'm an Ohio gal.

I was born & raised in Columbus, OH.
I went to school in Ohio.
My favorite color is red.
I've accepted highway construction as a way of life.
I'm a snob about marching bands (if they're not good what's the point?)
I like frost & bad hot chocolate.
I understand that every other Saturday in the fall you just stay away from downtown.
I'm an OH-IO gal.
I know who Jim Tressel is and I think he's kinda cute.
I like college sweatshirts.
I like scarlet & gray.
I love script Ohio and The Best Damn Band in the Land.
I think Michigan is annoying (..and they SUCK.)
in fact....
I don't give a damn about the whole state of Michigan.
...yeah, I'm an Ohio gal.

Things I Don't Understand Part I

Who is "the Dickens" and why does he/she always have to use the restroom???

I admit I have been less than faithfully posting lately. See I just can't help it. I've been in this slump which has a lot to do with my beloved hockey boys sucking some major ass. I do try very hard to be a die hard fan and I would never think of supporting another team, but they make it so hard! As a Columbus native I'm not used to losing and this may come as a shock, I'm not always such a polite loser (I think the words "I hope they're not this predictable in the bedroom!" may have escaped my lips at the last game I attended.) At any rate I know they will do better. Right now I'd just be happy if they won a few games. Really. Worst in the league is a little embarrassing even if they are a baby team.

Such a Lady

You may have noticed I have a way with words. So much so in fact that this morning when my husband nudged me to hit the snooze on the alarm (a feat with requires me to crawl out of bed and walk across the room) I rolle over to him and said "That's not fair! I don't need to get up yet!" Unfortunately, as my tongue lolled around in my mouth unwilling to wake up what I managed to say was something akin to, "llllgggggmmmmuuuuuhhhhh!"

It's a wonder I didn't trip on my own feet.
